The Umran Forum at King Saud University has established itself as a vital meeting point for urbanism and real estate in the Kingdom, a space where policy, academia, and practice converge. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, and attended by Deputy Minister H.E. Mr. Ihab Al-Hushani and University President H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman, the fourth edition reaffirmed the Forum's role as a platform for serious dialogue on the future of Saudi cities.

For A1Architects Consultation, this was not a passive exhibition stand. The pavilion became a dynamic space of exchange students, professionals, and visionaries moving through, asking questions, challenging assumptions, and building connections. We came to showcase our architectural projects, and we left having done something more valuable: we listened, we debated, and we found ourselves embedded in the very conversations that will shape the next phase of Saudi urban development.

Urbanism is not a solitary discipline. It lives at the intersection of policy, design, engineering, and cultural ambition. The Forum made that intersection tangible. The presence of the Ministry, the University leadership, and a generation of emerging practitioners in one room underscored a collective recognition: the cities Saudi Arabia is building will not be shaped by any single actor. They demand collaboration across sectors, and that collaboration was alive in the conversations at our pavilion.

Forums like this are where Vision 2030's urban ambitions meet the ground. They are where sustainable environments are not just envisioned but debated, refined, and committed to, by the very people who will build them. Our participation was a contribution to that process: not through declarations, but through presence, exchange, and the shared work of turning a national vision into a built reality.
